Appointment # ... I lost count.

We had an appointment with Dr. H today so he could see Pacen's feet being purple and just kind of double check everything. Overall, it was an informative appointment and we learned something new. His heart rate and pulse ox were perfect. He got his meds refilled and Pacen was happy to let Dr. H listen to his belly and heart. With all of Pacen's recent reactions to things, he's starting to develop a little bit of eczema so we are going to try some thicker lotion for now. Belly sounds good, and he is still on 2 caps of miralax per day + the pro biotic. His heart murmur was what it was. Dr. H listened to it several times and agreed that we need to see the cardiologist. Dr. H said it is 1 of two things, a PDA or a VSD defect that is going on with the way his murmur "sounds." He said it is not something we need to worry about unless Pace is restless, grey/blue, lethargic or zoning out. But, as per usual, he is as happy as a fat kid eating cake. Speaking of fat kid... his weight is doing so-so, he only gained 3 oz in the last 6 weeks from his 12 month well child visit so that means he fell below the 10% for weight.

I picked up Pacen's clinical records to have in hand for Abq trips, and on the 31st of October he had no murmur found. He was at the hospital for the manometry test on 2 November, listed to by several nurses, the doctor that performed the test and the anesthesiologist and none of them mentioned a murmur. We get to the GI in Abq and right off the bat says his murmur is "very audible." So, sometime between the 2nd and the 9th, he developed a murmur? And none of the other medical professionals that have listened to his heart have ever heard anything? He's been seen by 2 different pediatricians, 1 urgent care provider, 1 ER doctor, however many doctors and nurses when he was hospitalized here and in El Paso, the neurologist, the MRI radiologist, the GI doctor that did his manometry test the beginning of November, and multiple nurses at the beginnings of each appointment. I'm sure I am missing a couple people tossed in there as well.

This is his Holloman clinic file, some lab work, and1 piece of paper for every GI appointment in El Paso. My 1" binder is busting open and I need to get a 2" binder now. It doesn't include his hospitalization, neurology reports, radiology reports or the Abq GI record.
