Dr. D said Pacen's belly was still had a pretty significant amount of stool, so he suggested we do an at-home clean out. Please hope this works, the next step is a stimulant med to try, and finally a hospital clean out, and we'd like the stay at home.
He also noticed that something isn't quite right about Pacen with his feeding issues, choking/gagging, sensory, neurological issues and muscle tone, so he put a referral in for us for a developmental pediatrician to help put all of his puzzle pieces together. I picked up that referral and now I will have to find someone that will take our insurance and see Pacen. I'm hoping that the one at the Carrie Tingley Hospital in Albuquerque will be able to get us in for an actual appt, and not just pop in for a feeding appt. And not have too long of a wait, too much to ask? Yikes!
Overall my first impression of Dr. D was pretty good, I think he will be much more help than the idiot pedi ever could be. We are heading back in about a month for a weight check, and possibly discuss another swallow study after I talk to the feeding rehab girls. Pace also has an ear infection starting, he graced our first night in the new house with 2.5 hrs of blood curdling screams because his ear was hurting him.
The day after Levi got home we moved into the rental house. We did find renters for ours, so when the time comes that we apply to leave Holloman to be closer to Doctors and therapies that can help Pacen, we won't be scrambling to find someone.
