This is Charlie, the lab mix. He is the sweetest dog and such a good boy with Merik! He is rather overweight... but we are hoping he will drop some serious poundage while he is with us to be a healthier dog. He came to use from death row via the Alamogordo Dog Rescue to foster him. He was going to be put down last week. He is house trained, leash trained, he doesn't get onto the furniture (because he physically can't), he can't exercise but for a few minutes, and he does great with the kids and Tucker. You can see in his eyes that he wants to run and play, but he just physically cannot get the motivation. After he has some much needed weight loss, he will be a playful guy! Charlie was brought to us last night so they could go to Ruidoso to pick up more dogs in need from the recent ongoing forest fire.
