GI & Allergy

We met with Analissa today, she was great. She said as long as Pacen's constipation is under control, we are just going to manage it for now. She feels his GI problems are food allergy related. We still have our appt with Dr Noel in May, and we are going to bounce ideas off of him about the EoE and see if he feels that Pace would need scoped then. Since Pacen is doing excellent with weight gain right now, we are not going to fix what isn't broken. He weighed in right at 22 lbs even and 31" tall. He is consistently following his curve and jumped up to the 12th %!! That is really great for him :) he does have a little ear infection starting that she thought is viral so we will just watch it closely.

Next we went back to the allergist. Unfortunately, Pacen has several new allergies. The avocado was the culprit for last weeks reaction. He tested positive for garlic, avocado, melons, mango, bananas, kiwi and pistachios. We do live in a heavily populated pistachio farm area, so I am really nervous to see how this will pan out. Last summer he was constantly congested, before we knew of the allergies. A lot of these new allergies we have to watch out for other foods that share similar proteins, and that includes so many more foods. Right now we are not going to be trying anything new with him and pray for the best. He is still on elacare jr and is taking it really well. Hopefully we can get him to a happy safe place with no reactions, no flares, and no more Epi pen usage with food.

When Pacen was a tiny baby, I would say 'reflux is a bitch' ... But really, food allergies are.

I don't know where the photo will place in this post since I am on my phone, but it shows the reactions from the skin test today.
