I haven't updated in a couple weeks so here goes!
I called the allergist office to bounce some ideas off of his nurse about things Pacen is eating and how his scalp cannot clear up, along with the same eczema spots on his back and armpits. Dr. Clayton ended up calling me back himself 10 minutes later (their office is amazing, and so helpful and caring!). He said to limit Pacen to his formula, rice, chicken, white potato, cauliflower, broccoli, apples, pears and crackers/bread that is safe until we can make it up for an appt. Thankfully, we got squeezed in on 14 May, the day after our GI and Rheumy appts. Dr. Clayton wants to do some more testing and see what else is making him react because after almost 6 weeks of being on RX medicated shampoo, this hasn't phased it at all, and he smells like a grandpa, not a sweet baby boy.... no offense ;)
Remember back in November when the GI PA said Pacen had a small bulge/hernia (epigastric hernia)? She said it was small, and I'd only ever seen it a handful of times, it was about the size of a marble. I'm no professional ... (I should be by now) but, seeing him yesterday in this position flexing his stomach muscles, this hernia looks quite a bit larger than a marble. The oblong shape also is strange to me. I've only ever seen round hernias in my Google searches. So, I guess we will see what the GI says.
I think those are all of my updates for now. We've been having awesome warm weather and great sunny days.
