I've been a bad updater

Wow, I think my last post was over a month ago... so here's what we've been up to.

Levi deployed, he is in Kyrgyzstan pouring cement, building ramps and doing typical Dirt Boy things. He is having a good time, and thankfully he is in a safe area!

The boys and I made a visit to Kansas City to visit Aunt Liz, hit the Omaha zoo with Grandma & Grandpa Blair, Aunt Lauren, Kaden & Keagan - - it was a good time! We hadn't been to the zoo since MJ was 11 months old! MJ loved the zoo! Pace was so content to sit in his stroller and enjoy the animals from afar. We did have a little scare with Pacen at the zoo with his body temp going over 103... he was quite a bit toasty so we hit up the first aid room at the zoo and the nurse was wonderful to help us get his temp down with cool wash cloths. He was pretty lethargic and not our happy smiley boy, he's been a little more sensitive to the heat since then.

After we had our visit at the zoo, we headed for Cedar Rapids. It was sooo hot and muggy. Definitely not what we are used to here in NM! I got the BEST visit from my dear friend from Eielson, Jenell and her hubby Josh, while they were passing through on their way to Alaska. I miss her. Levi got to see them briefly on his way out of the US for his deployment when they flew into Norfolk. Everything worked out perfectly! We were in CR for several days, MJ caught a little stomach bug, we ate a lot of Thai food, and the boys had so much fun playing with their cousins.

Next, we went to Humboldt to visit the Schuller crew. We had a fun surprise that Uncle Matt would be home the same time as we would before he headed out to Virginia and then to Japan in the fall. Lucky little turkey! We are jealous of the Japan duty station! We visited with everyone and had a little BBQ with the extended fam. By this point, I don't know that we were sure of what day of the week it was anymore, we were nearing the end of our 3 week tour.

I was especially excited to be in KC for the 4th, We took MJ to a Royal's baseball game. It was a lot of fun, a great game, and they won! Reba decided to hitch a ride to KC with us at the last minute... no really, we were packed in the car standing in the driveway. Nothing like a spur of the moment trip for Reba! It made the 5 hr leg to KC a lot easier with an extra set of hands.

And then we arrived home. The house was still intact, the dog was alive and only one fish was sacrificed during our trip. I'd say it was a win win situation. Phew.

Now we are already to the middle of July and I still have to look at my calendar everyday to make sure I know what is going on. We have a lot of play dates planned, therapy appts, and we will be heading back up to Abq in August for Pacen's next round of appts. Thankfully, every 3 months is totally do-able. When we were going every 8 weeks, that was getting to be a bit much! We are happy to report that aside from Pacen's heat exhaustion that day, he hasn't had any major reactions since that nasty one posted blow with the red welted hives and rash. He's had really minor ... and when I say minor, I mean no medical attention was needed and we have handled it at home (which is REALLY great, I promise!)  I think this concludes my update to catch up for the half of summer that has already passed... goodnight!
