Marathon Week: Day 4

800 feeding rehab: Pacen, Pacen, Pacen. Total food refusal, lots of 'tude, and being defiant. We did manage to get him to drink done juice. He was something else. Wouldn't eat ham or cheese (two foods he almost always eats a few bites of!)

1100 feeding rehab: Pacen had a really good session after being a turkey for the morning session. Valerie (OT) asked me to get a couple new foods he hasn't had in awhile, and I know he will eat so we could have a 'picnic' and have Pacen 'serve' us. We had m&m's, pirate's booty (puff corn with white cheddar flavor), cheddar cheese, a peach fruit leather, fresh berries, and vanilla ice cream from McDonald's. He loved giving Valerie a puff corn, The OT student (I can't remember her name, spent a week with the girl and I am drawing a blank!) a corn puff, mommy a corn puff and then he would say 'PayPay turn!'

He ended up eating about a half dozen puffs, both 1"x2" pieces of cheddar, the entire fruit leather, 4 m&m's, and he ate 1 blueberry. He also drank two 1oz tiny cups of juice, and then drank water from my cup. After he ate his snacks, we brought the ice cream out. Guess who took 1 unwilling pitiful little taste of ice cream and refused to eat more? He had a MUCH better session at 11! It was so good to end on a good note!

He's now refused donut holes, cookies, and I've cream. He is not our child, haha! If he starts refusing chocolate, we will have a big problem ;)

We go back in 2 weeks for 4 more sessions. 9 & 10 January 2014! It is SO good to be home after that week.
