Scott AFB

I've been crummy at updating, but here is a quick one! We arrived to Scott AFB Wednesday last week and signed for our house on the 27th. Our house hold goods arrived on the 28th and we had Reba & Greggers down here to help us out! Yesterday and today we've been busy with tornado watches, warnings, thunderstorms, power outages, flooding and tornado sirens going off left and right it seems like! Nothing says welcome to Illinos like a shelter in place siren! The kids have made some friends in the neighborhood and it's nice to have friends so close to the house! 

Here is a pic of the front of the house. I'll get pics of the inside up as soon as we get more unpacked and hung up on the walls! Levi was pretty bummed about the 1 car garage, but we do have a decent little storage shed in the back yard. We got a 4 br 2.5 bath house. The living room is small, and we sure do miss our vaulted ceilings and open floor plan, but this will do for a few years :)

This base, and the surrounding small towns/burbs have more restaurants and shopping than Alamogordo and Las Cruces combined, and everything is about 5-15 min from the house!
