Feeding Rehab 10Jan

I got the record of Pacen's swallow study from Valerie (OT) and after they went back through it and took another look, he is aspirating very small amounts, but he is able to get it out of his airway on his own. That is good news! 

He did well with his first rehab session. He didn't refuse much, gag or get too spunky with it! 

The second session he did good as well. He was a little spunky, but he followed directions and did a pretty good job! We didn't try any new foods for these 2 sessions. 

Our goals for the next few weeks are putting him on a timer of 20-25 min that he has to remain seated and eat. We are going to try more fruits and veggies and see if we can get him to accept the flavors and textures without gagging. 

We are heading home now! Our next Abq trip will be 22-24 Jan for 3 feeding rehabs and a Neuro appt.
